Kamchatka is actually an island. There aren’t any roads north toward Chukotka (which is itself is much more remote); there isn’t a railroad. So you and every little thing else either arrive by boat or by air -usually airplanes from Magadan, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Moscow,… The Trans-Siberian railroad terminates in Vladivostok. Ships can carry goods from there.

Then the method of buy. Gross sales clerk went to get the field and warrantee, directions, made some notes; despatched me to cashier with a printed kind, which she used to ring up the sale (I used a bank card-also new since I was final right here!), and she signed and I signed on a number of traces, then she stamped over three combined receipts, tore off one half for her and gave me the opposite!

Once I visited Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland last winter, I was fairly looking ahead to the journey despite the fact that the well-known alpine greenery was long gone. Partly because I used to be about to get a glimpse of quintessential European winter life. My concept of surviving snowy winter doesn’t lengthen past warm quilts, scorching cups of tea and views from window sills despite being an outside buff. But the Swiss taught me there is no weather that warrants self imposed indoor confinement. Whereas ice fishing on Hinterstockensee lake, zip-lining on Grindelwald First, chugging down never-ending glasses of warm Glühwein inside igloos , sledding down on the slopes beneath the long-lasting Eiger and several unsuccessful trials at ice skating later, I realized how simple it’s to enjoy the chilly and gloomy winters, just like the Swiss do. I had fun. But I wasn’t absolutely impressed yet.

I hope you’re all having a improbable start to October!! Happily the climate is still forgiving in NYC and the sun is shining brightly via my favorite cafe window right here in Williamsburg. I just wished to share that I lastly received my 2016 Bloglovin x H&M Award for Best Design Blog within the mail this previous Monday and I couldn’t be extra elated. I have not received an award since highschool haha!! Holding it feels equally invigorating and surreal.
